National Musuem of Ghana ASSIN MANSON SLAVE RIVER This river was the final link in the slavery route from northern Ghana and was known to have been the largest slave market for the merchant supplying slaves on the forts and castles on the coast .It houses the Memorial Wall of Return where most Africans write on the wall indicating they have found their roots. It also has The Slave River where slaves were allowed to take their final baths before boarding the ships to America where they would be finally sold. Travel Time 4hrs
CAPE COAST CASTLE This Cape Coast Castle is a 15th-century building by the Swedes to facilitate gold and timber trade. It was later converted to a holding facility for slaves before they were shipped to America. The building serves as a museum and house slave-related artifacts and documents. The rusting canons on the walls paint a vivid picture of the fortification of the facility. A trip to Ghana is not complete without a visit to the Cape Coast Castle. Travel Time 3hrs
ELMINA CASTLE AND MUSEUM The Elmina Castle is a fortress in the Central Region. Visitors may view the sights of the former storehouses and slave dungeons, chapels and governor’s chamber. KAKUM NATIONAL PARK This park is a place for nature lovers. The park’s best-known feature is undoubtedly its 7 suspension bridges which form a 333-meter long canopy walkway, suspended up to 27 meters above the forest floor from trees that are over 300 years old.
