Overview

Revina Tours is excited to offer an enriching 10-day Archaeological and Research Study Trip tailored specifically for universities. This immersive experience will take students and faculty on a journey through Egypt's ancient history, allowing them to explore and study the magnificent archaeological sites in Cairo and Alexandria.

Itinerary

Day 1-3: Cairo

• Day 1: Arrival in Cairo, where participants will be welcomed and transferred to their accommodation. The day will include a briefing on the trip and an introduction to the rich history of Egypt.
• Day 2: A guided tour of the Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx, followed by a visit to the Egyptian Museum, home to an extensive collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts.
• Day 3: A visit to Saqqara and the Step Pyramid of Djoser, followed by an exploration of the ancient capital of Memphis.

Day 4-10: Alexandria

• Day 4: Travel to Alexandria, with a stop at the ancient city of Tanis.
• Day 5: A tour of the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa and Pompey's Pillar, followed by a visit to the Alexandria National Museum.
• Day 6: Exploration of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, a modern library and cultural center, built near the site of the ancient Library of Alexandria.
• Day 7: A visit to the Citadel of Qaitbay, built on the site of the ancient Pharos Lighthouse, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
• Day 8: A day dedicated to the study of ancient maritime history at the Alexandria Maritime Museum, including a guided research session.
• Day 9: A field trip to the Montazah Palace Gardens and a discussion on the Greco-Roman influence on Alexandria.
• Day 10: Departure from Alexandria, with a stop at the El Alamein War Museum on the way to the airport.
